Above is a scene from Metro Exodus that shows off the immersive details gained from real-time ray tracing. For those looking for a gaming GPU that will handle the next generation of immersive game titles, RTX is a great way to go.

GTX cards excel at both immersive and competitive gaming, providing great experiences in popular titles like Fortnite, Overwatch and Counterstrike: Global Offensive. And for retro gaming, Turing brings hardware integer scaling for crisp pixel art. See our cookie policy for further details on how we use cookies and how to change your cookie settings. As for the mobo you linked to me, where does it say it's PCI-E 3.

I've looked up "H81 mobo" and they all seem to say 2. I'll have a look at the mobo manual when the barebones comes tomorrow, let you know if it's 3. As for the power of the itself, I've been looking at this benchmarking software website for what turns out to be for GFX cards as well as CPUs: PassMark Software - PC Benchmark and Test Software I don't know what criteria the software uses to determine the benchmarks of hundreds of items provided here, but for one thing the GT is rated as on the high-end chart, whilst the GT M is rated as - so there IS a substantial difference between the two.

For my reference, my current GT which I've had for four years is At the end of it all, I think it's most likely just best if I just SEE how good and how fast the new system is, in action, rather than just seeing a lot of technical info about how many CUDA cores it's got blah blah blah.

I don't know what criteria the software uses to determine the benchmarks of hundreds of items provided here. Is it still worth considering the ti? In any case, it was quite an event today: my old PC died today, or at least became unusable all of a sudden.

I went to restart it and screen remained blank, but HDD light was blinking as usual. Tried another screen but it wasn't that. As of now, after over an hour of building the PC from barebones up and getting all tense just in case I've managed to fry something, I have now installed Windows 7 the same copy as my old PC on a computer that is so quiet I'm worried the fans have stopped working! So, should I still go ahead with the ti? I've yet to see how the GT performs with one of my favourite games.

I'm also going for a modular one, as Corsair cables tend to be particularly thick and I don't really want unneeded cables in the way. It's actually a long story: Got the HDD, DVD drive and a basic graphics card the GT about two weeks before, then got a small low-interest loan to buy the barebones. For the barebones, had a six-core AMD in mind but by then it had been discontinued, so went for a slightly cheaper Intel with extra memory, to match the amount I wanted.

This morning, when I got the barebones, was debating about further upgrades when my current PC gave up on me, so had to go with the stuff I already had. Was nervous about putting it altogether, even though my now-dead PC was the same kind of barebones job, but turned out fine. The mid-range gaming PC I now want is within sight, so all I need is a new efficient but high wattage PSU to power the whole thing, and eventually the ti, assuming the place where I've gotten and am getting all these parts Novatech of Portsmouth still sells it.
