Ivf when do you stop progesterone




















I have to admit I've been stressing at the thought of stopping them. I will be counting down to my scan on 17 Aug so make sure all is ok. I'm sure it will be fine - positive thoughts! I hope they keep me on it. I would be a nervous wreck if they took me off.

After taking them every day for 12 weeks I then started to take them every other day, then every 2nd day and the final 2 pills I took every 4th day. RE wanted me to stay on progesterone till week 10, but OB suggested till week 12 and then do this transitional withdrawl.

I was on the PIO shots until 11 weeks. I was on 2 shots per day until 10 weeks, then 1 shot per day until 11 weeks, then I was taken off of them. They were checking my levels the whole time.

I just got off progestrone yesterday and Im 13 wks. I did not do IVF but from what I read the amniotic fluid takes over production of progestrone around wk I would imagine it varies from person to person Thank you all for your responses! It is so helpful to hear your stories. I guess I will ask my doc to keep me on PIO shots longer than 7 weeks or at least monitor my levels closely if I go off.

Stay in touch!! So, yesterday I looked at my last bottle of progesterone oil and I mentioned that I have 2 refills! I was obviously not meant to stop at 7 weeks. I called in my refills right away to avoid the stress that babyprayers went through.

My refills will arrive tomorrow. I don't know why the nurse told me I'll have to stop after 7 weeks. Thank you again for your help!! That makes so much more sense.

KJsbabe member. I was on supositories until 12w. I really didn't notice anything different after stoping them other than no more messy discharge! I hope the transition is just as smooth for you. Not passively waiting. That is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow, that is patience.

I honestly didn't even notice. I stopped at 10wks and I had no change in anything at all. I feel exactly the same. No spotting..
